Housekeeping Week 2026: Our Teams Take the Spotlight

Quick tucks, clever folds and a hopeful call of “Bingo!” Our Housekeeping Week celebrations had a little bit of everything. 


Across Australia and New Zealand, our ahs hospitality teams came together to showcase their talents, enjoy some friendly competition and celebrate the people who make every stay shine. From beautifully made beds to thoughtful surprises, each activity offered a different way to say thank you. 

Clever Folds and Creative Characters 

Who knew a towel could have so much personality? 


Our housekeeping teams transformed everyday towels into creative works of art, bringing a wonderful mix of characters and designs to life. With so many impressive entries, choosing the winners was no easy task! The friendly competitions gave everyone a chance to showcase their skills and celebrate each other’s creativity. 


Every creation reflected the imagination, patience and attention to detail our talented teams bring to their work every day. 

Ready, Set, Tuck! Bed-Making Challenges 

Our bed-making competitions put everyday expertise in the spotlight, with teams bringing speed, precision and plenty of competitive spirit. 


From crisp corners to careful finishing touches, the challenges showcased the skill behind every guest-ready bed. They also gave colleagues an opportunity to cheer each other on and celebrate the pride our housekeepers take in their work. 


Congratulations to everyone who participated and to those recognised for their beautifully made beds! 

 


Pantry Pride Behind the Scenes 

Behind every well-prepared guest room is an organised pantry that helps keep the day running smoothly. 


During Housekeeping Week, our teams proudly showcased their neatly arranged supplies and thoughtfully organised spaces. With everything in its place, team members can easily find what they need and prepare for each shift. 


While guests may rarely see these spaces, they reflect the same care and attention to detail that go into every room. The pantry activities gave us another opportunity to celebrate the effort behind the scenes and the pride our teams take in their work.

Quizzes, Bingo and a Little Luck 

There was more than one way to bring out our teams’ competitive sides! 


Kahoot challenges and quizzes put knowledge to the test, while bingo and raffles added anticipation to the celebrations. Fortune cookies brought another playful surprise to the mix. 


Whether answering a question or waiting for a winning number, these activities gave colleagues an opportunity to enjoy time together beyond their daily routines. 



Shared Meals and Sweet Surprises 

Sometimes, the simplest celebrations are the most meaningful. 


Buffet breakfasts and morning teas brought teams together to take a break, share a conversation and enjoy a well-deserved treat. 


Thoughtful gestures from our hotel partners helped make the week special, too. Surprise lolly bags provided a sweet start to the celebrations and a lovely way to show appreciation.
